Summit Racing Equipment AMS Championship Finale Goes at Florence Speedway October 28

Glasgow, KY- October 19, 2017 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com) - The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will conclude the 2017 racing season on Saturday October 28 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY with the tour’s 8th Annual Summit Racing Equipment AMS Championship event, with the winner taking home $5,000 to win and will pay $250 to start.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Florence Speedway in a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $5,000 to win, $250 to start 8th Annual Summit Racing Equipment AMS Championship event. Also in action at the event will be the track’s Super Late Models in competition in the track’s Fall 50 contest, also paying $5,000 to win. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main, will receive $50 tow money. For this event, the Hoosier M30 and M60 will be the only legal tire compounds, with the M60 MANDATORY for use on the right-rear tire of the race cars. Florence Speedway uses transponder timing/scoring for their events and the rental fee for a transponder is $10.

Activities at Florence Speedway on Saturday October 28 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m. and general admission areas open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 4:15 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 4:30 p.m. and green flag racing at 6:00 p.m. All times EDT. Ticket prices at Florence Speedway on Saturday October 28 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, with children ages 6 to 11 $3, while a pit pass will be $36.
