Bernheisel Racing Closes the Curtain on a Successful 2017 Campaign

Jonestown, Pennsylvania (10/23/17) – Jonestown, Pennsylvania-based Bernheisel Racing recently put a wrap on a very-successful 2017 season.

Bryan Bernheisel spearheaded the team’s 2017 efforts behind the wheel of his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Lazer Chassis Late Model. Along the way Bryan collected eight victories, which included five special event triumphs.

Bernheisel raced to Victory Lane in a pair of Route 35 Moonshine Camo Series races at Pennsylvania’s Selinsgrove Speedway. He picked up a $3,000 win at New Jersey’s Bridgeport Speedway, while also topping the Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland and the “Run Whatcha Brung” night at the legendary Williams Grove Speedway.

Throw in a trio of regional triumphs to go along with 16 Top-5 finishes and 29 Top-10 finishes, and it was another banner year for the team.

“Competition just keeps getting tougher and tougher every year, so to have the season that we had is really something special,” Bryan Bernheisel said. “We claimed our fair share of wins, and even when we didn’t win, we were still in contention on most nights. It’s equally special to know that some of these winning performances came as we tested new cars and products for Lazer Chassis.

“Our success this year can largely be attributed to the hard work of our team and all of our great sponsors. I’ve really got to give a shout out to Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips and One Potato Two Potato for their awesome support of Bernheisel Racing.”

The 2017 season marked the third year that Bernheisel Racing carried Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips as the title sponsor on their #119 entries.

Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips is a regional brand that is carried in regional grocery stores throughout the Northeast. Meanwhile One Potato Two Potato is the company’s national brand, which can be found throughout the United States, including Starbucks, Sam’s Club, Delta Airlines and many other locations.

For Bernheisel Racing, the partnership has been a natural fit.

“Everyone with Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips and One Potato Two Potato are just phenomenal people, and they also have really tasty products,” said Bernheisel Racing’s patriarch, Jim Bernheisel. “Their values perfectly mesh with those of our family and our team. I’m very proud of what my sons have been able to accomplish this year. From Bryan’s driving performances to Brandon’s efforts as crew chiefs, I’m definitely a proud father.”

Nevin Dieffenbach, who is the President of Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips, echoes the sentiments of Jim Bernheisel.

“It’s been a lot of fun to build our relationship with Bernheisel Racing over the past three years,” Dieffenbach commented. “Getting to be involved with such a passionate family in such a passionate sport has really been an eye opener for myself and our company. Racing has very loyal patrons, and it’s been exciting to get to introduce our products to a whole new demographic. The feedback has been just incredible.”

Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips didn’t limit their support of motorsports to just the Bernheisel family during the 2017 season. The company also sponsored the 358 Late Model program at the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek event at Williams Grove Speedway in July, giving out free samples to race fans.
Meanwhile, at different points throughout the year Bernheisel Racing displayed their car at local grocery stores as well as the Philadelphia Phillies AAA Baseball affiliate in Reading.

“Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips and Bernheisel Racing have so much in common,” Jim Bernheisel noted. “We are both family-owned companies that are dedicated to quality and service. We both also pride ourselves on our excellent reputation.”

While the 2017 season may have drawn to a close, the team is already hard at work preparing for an even bigger and better 2018 campaign. Please point your browser to www.BryanBernheisel.com for the latest news and developments.
