Dennis Erb, Jr. Drives New Black Diamond Mount to Whynot Podium; World Finals Ahead!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team unloaded a brand-new Black Diamond Chassis on October 27-28 in the annual running of the 'Coors Light Fall Classic' at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. The new car flashed immediate speed, as Dennis clicked off the fastest lap overall of the 42 competitors during Friday's qualifying session and later scored an impressive heat race triumph.

When the unsanctioned 'Coors Light Fall Classic' went to green on Saturday evening, Dennis started the $15,000 to win affair from the pole position. After pacing the field for the first three circuits, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace raced all over the top five during the 100-lapper before eventually netting a strong third place podium showing. Finishing ahead of Dennis' machine at the unfurling of the checkered flag was winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Brandon Overton. Full results from the Magnolia State can be viewed by pointing your Internet browser to www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team will now continue their late-season swing through the Southeast on November 2-4, as they will venture to the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina for the 11th edition of the ‘World Finals.’ The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series will sanction a pair of lucrative events at the 4/10-mile speedplant located in the Charlotte area. Two rounds of time trials will kick things off on Thursday to set the stage for a pair of separate programs on Friday and Saturday – each of which will pay $12,000 to the victor.

Dennis was solid in both feature races last year at the Dirt Track at Charlotte and posted a strong sixth place effort in the Friday opener. As always during the ‘World Finals’ weekend at Charlotte, the WoO Craftsman Sprint Cars and the Big-Block Modifieds of the Super DIRTcar Series will join the Super Late Models in racing action. More information on the huge weekend and the pair of 50-lappers can be located online at www.woolms.com.
