Logan Roberson Conquers Crate Nationals at The Gap
Waynesboro, Virginia (11/06/17) – The last minute decision to enter Saturday’s Crate Nationals at Volunteer Speedway, resulted in Logan Roberson picking up his 19th win of the year to the tune of $3,000.
The victory came aboard his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis.
“We were on the fence about going, and then the middle of the week dad said ‘Let’s go get another $3,000 check for the wall’,” Roberson laughs. “I really want to thank Cory Hedgec ock because we busted a radiator during the heat race and didn’t have an extra with us. Not many people would let the guy starting next to him on the front row for the feature borrow anything, but he did. I can’t thank him enough for that.”
Logan Roberson traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the inaugural Crate Nationals. With 37 Crate Late Models on hand, Roberson started the night off with a heat race victory earning him the outside-front-row starting position for the feature.
Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Logan led all 51-laps en route to his 19th win of the season and a $3,000 payday. Cory Hedgec ock, Jesse Lowe, Vic Hill, and Drew Kennedy rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

The team has a two-week break scheduled before traveling to Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on November 23-25 for the annual Possum Town Grand Prix. The NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series event posts a $10,000 top prize.
