Billy Moyer Reaches Double Figure Win Mark with $7,500 All-American 60 Victory!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team reached double figures in the win column for 2017 on Saturday evening, November 4 by capturing their tenth feature triumph in the 'All-American 60' at Jackson Motor Speedway near Jackson, Mississippi! Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer knocked down the fifth quickest lap overall during the Super Late Model qualifying session prior to running second in his heat race. After starting fifth on the grid in the unsanctioned 60-lap headliner, Billy drove towards the front and capitalized on race-long leader Jason Rauen's misfortune to score the win.

The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" led the final three circuits in the 'All-American 60' after Rauen - who was being hounded by Moyer for the race lead - slammed into a stalled car and was eliminated with heavy damage. Billy went on to bag the $7,500 winner's share for career victory #826 over Brian Rickman, Dane Dacus, Garrett Alberson, and B.J. Robinson! Full results from the topless special at Jackson Motor Speedway can be accessed online at www.jacksonmotorspeedway.net.

“That was a tough break for (Jason) Rauen, as I guess he didn’t see that car slow in front of him,” commented Moyer this week. “I let off the gas after seeing (Jon) Mitchell have some trouble there in front of us and I headed to the bottom of the racetrack. We had a good hotrod though and put ourselves in position to capitalize on his misfortune to get the win. We’ve got the Dome race on our schedule still for this year, but it feels great to head into this month or so break having won our last race!”

Billy and his famed #21 team are now done racing until the 2nd edition of the ‘Gateway Dirt Nationals’ takes place on December 14-16 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Things will kick off on the indoor dirt racing surface on that Thursday with a special “Race of Champions,” which pays $5,000 to the winner. Another $5,000 top prize will be on the line during the preliminary night on Friday before Saturday’s Championship race, which boasts a hefty $30,000 payday.
