Adjusted Start Times for Southern Nationals Bonus Series-Gobbler at Boyd’s Speedway on November 18th

BRASSTOWN, NC (November 15, 2017)—Officials with Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. and the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series have adjusted start times for this Saturday’s Gobbler event.
Friday’s schedule remains the same but officials have tweaked the start times for all of Saturday’s program due to the possibility of cooler temperatures and a chance of an evening shower. The pit gates will now open at 9:00 am with the grandstand gates opening at 11:00 am and the driver’s meeting will be at noon with hot laps slated to roll out shortly after.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will have a full show of hot laps, qualifying, last chance heat races and the 50-lap main event paying $5,000-to-win. In addition, the Limited Late Models will race for $1,500-to-win, the Crate Late Models will compete for $1,500-to-win and the Sportsman Late Models will also race on Saturday for $800-to-win.
A rain-date for Sunday has been added to the schedule just in case inclement weather strikes Saturday’s program. The times will remain the same for Sunday as the new announced Saturday times, only if needed.
Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. leads the series point standings into the season-ending event on November 18th over David Payne of Murphy, N.C. and Joey Standridge of Tellico Plains, Tenn.
