Cory Hedgec ock Claims Emotional Win; PTGP Next
Loudon, Tennessee (11/13/17) – Cory Hedgec ock claimed an emotional victory in his Shadden Motorsports #9 Valley Transport/ Rocket Chassis XR1 Steel Head Late Model on Saturday evening at Boyd’s Speedway. The win came just a few days after his grandmother – Judith Wurth – had passed away.
“Mimi was always a big supporter of everything I did, and I know she was with me today,” Hedgec ock said. “It doesn’t seem real just yet that she’s gone. This win is definitely for her.”
Cory Hedgec ock visited Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Saturday, competing in a field of 19 Steel Head Late Models for the annual Gobbler. Timing in fastest overall in qualifying, Hedgec ock earned the pole position for the main event.
Jumping to the lead early, Cory Hedgec ock cruised to his 28th win of the season, topping Christian Hanger, Kevin Gibson, Jason Manley, and Justin Litchford at the finish line.

Cory has a final event on the 2017 docket as he treks to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) this weekend – November 23-25 – to compete in the annual Possum Town Grand Prix. The $10,000-to-win event will be sanctioned by the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series.
