Chris Ferguson Goes Worst to First in Cherokee Finale

Mt. Holly, North Carolina (11/21/17) – Chris Ferguson has a tendency to find the hard way to reach goals. Saturday night at Cherokee Speedway was no different.

After starting last in the field, he stormed to the front and ultimately Victory Lane in the $10,000-to-win affair behind the wheel of the Jeremy Bullins-owned #22 The Racer’s Warehouse/ Joe’s Racing Products/ XR1 Rocket Chassis.

“I’m not going to lie, after that heat race tangle I thought my chances of winning the feature were pretty much gone,” Ferguson said. “However, there is no quit in this team, and we all focused on the task at hand and got the job done. I really want to thank Jeremy Bullins and everybody involved with this team for letting me pilot this awesome race car. It’s definitely an honor, and to be able to take them all to Victory Lane was special to me.”

Taking the Jeremy Bullins-owned #22 Crate Late Model into battle, Chris Ferguson headed to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) on Saturday night for the Southeastern Crate Association (SECA) sanctioned, Performance Automotive 100.

Getting caught in a tangle with another competitor while battling for the lead in his heat race, Ferguson was relegated to the 23rd-starting position for the feature.

Navigating his way through the field in the 100-lap affair, Chris Ferguson streaked to his eighth win of the season over Trent Ivey, Max Blair, Dillon Brown, and Benji Hicks. He was awarded a $10,000 payday for his dominant performance in the feature.
