$15,000 a piece....

Wonder what kind of hauler he's getting? Looks like he has a black diamond up for sale too.

I never took Erb jr for a guy who would own bloomers. Learn something new every day.

So much for "heard it here first" stuff... Lol

Erb had little to no success in the Bloomers. Some do, some don't like all the other chasses. Always wish him success, hel of a guy... hel of a wheelman!!!

Not cars to be running a national tour with but for your local Saturday nighters.... Be worth it I'd think.

He won 11 races in 2013 and four of those being lucas oil shows. So id say he had good success in those cars.

He did buy the rocket rig and those cars will go cheaper im sure

Im like you though. Great guy, great wheel man, and best of luck to he and heather. Its hard not to like the guy. I always find myself pulling for him when i watch a race.

Both cars were built on 2009.

Where are you going to get tech help or spindles when you crash?

Any guess as to how many miles are on his hauler?

I'm not a trucker, but when I heard I was blown away. But with as much racing as he does, I could see it at the same time.

Help? Well i guess you have to kinda know whats going on yourself. Couldnt i just pm you or ask a question in the tech section?

A good shock guy like keith berner or paul wilmoth can help as well. Those guys have helped me a ton over the years. Its all in who you surround yourself with. Ive never really relied on a chassis mfr to win. That being said ive never won a slm race, ive ran up front a bunch but never broke through. Ive won a bunch of steel block lm races but supers will bring you back to earth

Bloomquist will sell parts but PPM will make them as well. And at a better price.

That hauler will never get another bath ever again. 3 things you'll never see from Erb Jr. Fast time award, a big lasting smile, and a squeaky clean hauler.

Correct. I have rarely even talked to builders myself. Just pointing out the limitations of buying a low production piece that probably has little to no support at present.

300,000 miles?

Way more... I bet its closer to a million. Or more.

Sold my Pete in 2013 with 1,980,000 miles...ran until 1,920,000 before I did an inframe major.

TheJet-09
12-05-2017, 12:53 PM
I was told (yes, a "rumor").....3 Million! I was also told at the same time that he was buying the Rocket rig, and that was back at the World, so I believe it.

I'm thinking the factory warranty has expired.

Mindwalker

Pretty common for a tractor to run up in the millions.

Krooser
12-05-2017, 01:11 PM
Funny how you see these older trucks with newer conversions and they never have more than 300k on the clock... That's how many miles the speedo has on it!

12-05-2017, 02:24 PM
But how many of those 3 million were put on it as a race hauler?

Mindwalker

Im sure he didn't buy it new so, as much as half them miles were probably on there.

I think Mark gets a new one every couple years, so I'd say it still has relatively low miles for a race car hauler.

The last one he sold to Jared Landers along with 2 new Rockets before the XR1 era began. I'm guessing that was prior to the 2015 season

I would be surprised if Erb's Pete had 3,000,000 miles on it.

I owned my last Pete for ten years...put on just under 1.1 million on it. That's just over 100k per year. It was 18 years old (1995) when I retired for the first time and sold it.

Unless his truck is 30 years old, or it runs a team operation 7 days per week, 50 weeks per year it isn't close to 3,000,000. Most race operations are seasonal... they don't run 2,000 to 2,500 miles per week every week.

Do the math... it doesn't add up. Sounds cool...

Does Feger have one of Bloomers old trailers?

He has the one that caught one fire years ago, it's an old ultra comp. Jason got the hauler cheap and had to fix the burn damage himself. I dont remember how it caught fire now, but pretty much the front half of the trailer was crispy.

Was it the trailer that burned or cab or both. I can't quite remember. I was thinking it blew a tire and broke a brake line and caught fire that way.

He owns a strip club in Chicago. Lol... He's in his 40s, he's been racing hard sence he was a teen (look at his schedule) the guy puts in the hours.... Work work work!! He works his azz off. Im sure when his dad died he was left a chunk and put it to good use.

Was it the trailer that burned or cab or both. I can't quite remember. I was thinking it blew a tire and broke a brake line and caught fire that way.It was the cab and hauler. Someone loaded bottled water in the hatch by the propane tanks, hit a few good bumps, water shifted and knocked the propane line off. Kablewee.

That’s not entirely true... I know of atleast one Big Blue being a Freightliner Coronado...
