At least since the mid 90's, that I know of!

Both times EPJ was with them they always raced Lucas Oil full time. All of EPJ's championships were with them.

Carlton Lamm and Forest Lucas are said to be good buddies so I would say Lucas Oil but I thought Lucas Oil was on the car with Pearson because of that friendship but apparently, that wasn't the case. IMO. Pierce would do better in WoO than Lucas Oil but it's not my call.

The fans want booby in the big leagues not the minors. Side by side with bloomer every week Then booby better turn up the heat from last year or he'll get run over in points. With Bloomer, Richards, JD, TMac, and ONeal in Lucas I don't see him finishing better than 4th. WoO might be slightly easier.

I don't know why people think Bobby can't run with the big boys in a series. He's proven before he can run with them, now has the resources to follow one. I think he'll do just fine.

I think his biggest adjustment is going to be the new chassis. He's run what his dad has put under him all of his racing career I believe. This is going to be a interesting year. It doesn't matter what series he runs, if he isn't challenging for the top 5 trolls are going to rip him, daddy, and his sister apart. I will put this out there. What does everyone think a successful season will be for BP in 2018 ? Lucas I say no lower than 6th in points, WoO , I say top 5. I will add this, if they as a team struggle it will not surprise me to see him jump ship and go back to being a regional racer.

Top 5 either series with 4 series wins would be a good year. The kid is going to do really well.

Who know's he might just excel in the Rocket chassis and this might be the best move for him but, only time will tell. I would at least give him a couple of years under his belt with the new team and chassis before I would make any judgement on how he is doing.

Lucas......

Have to agree with BBQ on this one. I don't see how the WoO tour benefits the primary sponsor on the car, given the # of races WoO has in the upper Midwest, Northeast, and Canada.

Could be wrong...maybe there's a ton of DLM lovin' Baptist in those areas looking to send their kids to University in Kentucky!?!?

Bobby is going to be blazing fast in the xr1 car. The monster ry45 motors might be an issue but the dude is an absolute stud wheel man and will adapt very quick. A guy who can win crown Jews in a car with very little side bite and very little forward bite it's going to be though to beat in a car that makes plenty of both. I think you have to understand that stuff he was winning Crown Jewels with to really understand how good he is .

Not sure what some are expecting right out of the gate but, for me I'm going to give him time with a new team and new chassis to see how he does.
I think this just proved what some of us were saying that team Pirece didn't have the money to run a national tour. I would say they did pretty good with what they had to work with but, now can he get the job done on the national level and I would say within a couple of years he will, heck who knows he just might this year.

Campbell is in NC.

You are correct. I got Campbell U. in North Carolina crossed up with Campbellsville U. in Kentucky.

Regardless, don't see how WoO schedule benefits the sponsor.

I think team owners would be smart to start going after sponsors like tech schools or colleges, especially after all the positive publicity Liberty university got sponsoring William Byron. Who ever heard of that school, and now it's a Cup sponsor.

As long as you don't have to lie to make them buy, a good sponsor is a good sponsor.

At one time the DB team ran 2 cars. Rodney Combs in the #5 and Shannon Babb in the #1. I have pics of both cars at their shop somewhere. Also, Ray Tucker drove the DB #1 way back in the day. The only pic i have seen of the car was hanging on the wall in Ray's shop.

Campbell moved the law school to Raleigh. And they are also getting into Chemical Engineering. I think the racing sponsorship makes sense. They are really adding a lot of programs including nursing & pharmacy schools. UNC tried to block their pharmacy school, but they finally overcame all the obstacles. My mom has 2 degrees from UCLA (University of Campbell between Lillington & Angier).

Put herself thru college. First in her family to graduate from high school. First to graduate with a college degree. First with a masters. She grew up dirt poor & is retired now with a half mill in the bank, probably as much in stock & several properties. I think I'll still brag about her. But Thanks!!!
