CARTERSVILLE, GA – The 2018 Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series schedule has been announced with 13 races, at seven different race tracks over eight different weekends. The battlegrounds for the Chevrolet Performance Cup and the $10,000 that goes to the 2018 National Champion will take place in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
The sixth season for the only super late model series branded by a major automobile manufacturer will begin on Friday night, April 13 at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA right on the Tennessee-Georgia State Line with a $2,000-to-win race. That will be followed by a $3,000-to-win race on Saturday night, April 14 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA.
Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA will host its first of two Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series races in 2018 on Saturday night, May 5 with a $3,000-to-win race. Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN will present its first-ever Chevy Super Series race with a $3,000-to-win event on Saturday night, June 16.
Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA will present a pair of Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series races in July. CMS will have a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, July 13, followed by a $3,000-to-win race on Saturday night, July 14. The Chevy Super Series returns to Cochran Motor Speedway on Saturday night, August 18 with a $3,000-to-win race.
The Swims Family will welcome the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series to its pair of racing facilities for the first two of three Labor Day Weekend Holiday races. Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA will present a $2,000-to-win race on Saturday night, September 1.
Rome Speedway in Rome, GA hosts the Chevy Super Series on Sunday night, September 2 with a $3,000-to-win race. The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will round out the Labor Day Weekend extravaganza with a return visit to Boyd’s Speedway in Monday night, September 3 with a $2,000-to-win race.
Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will close out the 2018 season for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series with a trio of races. The Hornet’s Nest presents the Chevy Super Series on Saturday night, September 22 with a $3,000-to-win event.
The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Championship Weekend will take place in October with a $2,000-to-win event on Friday night, October 26, and then the 2018 season finale will take place on Saturday night, October 27 with a $5,000-to-win race.
Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series officials are still talking to other tracks to fill open dates. This includes tracks promoted by the McCarter Family of East Tennessee, who have hosted the Chevy Super Series since the series started in 2013.
