I been working on my dirt race bucket list alot last few years. This year I’m wanting to hit some hell tour races in Illinois and mark that off the list. So which tracks should I try to hit. I’ve been to Farmer City and FALS. Awesome tracks. But wanna hit some I haven’t been to.

amore Speedway - 1st UMP SN race last year and it's best kept secret on the tour with 38 cars.

Macon Speedway - Herold & Review 100 is crazy on a 1/5 mile.

LaSalle - Is always a good UMP Summer Nationals race.

Lincoln Speedway was very good last year with the USAC Midgets being on the card. Good racing in all divisions

Kankakee County Speedway - Racing is usually pretty good for a UMP SN race

Oakshade Raceway - Huge Field and good racing.

Plymouth Speedway - 22 cars last year but had the closest finish on the tour between Bloomquist and Sheppard <> Very good race on a dry slick track & Sheppard won by about 5 inches.

Tri-State Speedway - One of the best prepped and race tracks in the U.S.

Macon is a most. LaSalle, or take a chance, pick a random one and go for it. Fun going to new tracks

Although I missed it last year I heard the Summer Nationals race at Lincoln with both the lates, midgets and modifieds were very good racing. I'm hearing that all 3 will be there again in 2018

I'm like Crow I've got a bucket list and just a track in Illinois be fine with me BUT I don't want to be nowhere around or north of Chi-town no offense to any of you Illini. I'm wanting to make a Illinois race but I want it in the southern part of the state so what are the best tracks in that area ?

Thanks for the info. If I can get the days off, might try a June 21-24 swing for Spoon River, Tri-City, FALS, Tri-State, then drive up and back for I-55.

That would be a good swing of racing to hit! I really like Spoon but they take there time in running a show. Many of times its 12 or 1am before you get out of there. Recommend grilling out in the parking lot food is just Ok also.

That's a high rating you gave spoon on the food! Two tracks I would steer clear of is danville and boswell in even tho they may not even have one this year.

Yep, but the racing has gotten much much better. I always eat before getting there.
