Big Frog Motorsports Starts 2018 in Victory Lane
Devin Dixon Snares Top Honors in Golden Isles Opener
Ocala, Florida (02/06/18) – Big Frog Motorsports with Devin Dixon behind the wheel kicked off the 2018 campaign with a bang. On Friday evening the Florida racer piloted the M&W Transport #58 Rocket XR1 Super Late Model to the $2,000 win in the Golden Isles Speedway Late Model division.
“We had a monkey on our back a lot last season, so it was awesome to start this season with a victory on Friday,” Dixon said. “Saturday night the track was pretty tough, and we got some damage early and decided to call it a night. Overall it was a solid way for us to start our year.”
On Friday night Devin Dixon and the Big Frog Motorsports team traveled to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia), kicking off the 2018 season in the track’s Late Model division. After laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Dixon cruised to his first win of the season in the A-Main, topping Mark Whitener to pick up the $2,000 payday.
Returning on Saturday night to compete for another $2,000 top prize, Devin secured his spot into the main event with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. Running into trouble early in the feature, Dixon was an early retiree from the 25-lapper on the second lap.

The team will now remain idle for two weeks before returning to action on February 22-24 with a trio of NeSmith Dirt Late Model events at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida). Thursday and Friday’s programs will post a $2,000 top prize, while Saturday will see a $10,000 winner’s check on the line.
