Just wondering... looks like the used raised t-stat housing I picked up has two 3/8" NPT openings for those hoses... I think that would mean a -6 AN hose? Am I correct?

on a 604 crate engine we have to deal with 3/8" pipe fittings in the back of the manifold
when using dash 6 lines we only bleed trapped air from the rear of the engine however when we go to dash 8 lines we are able to dissipate some heat from the rear of the cylinder head.

Brad How Much in your opinion does this help cooling

we install them on just about every engine but when a guy is on a tight budget I don't sweat leaving them off
it really does not cool better ---it cools more even with water lines (helps the rear cylinders a bit)
I have never seen a water line kit fix a cooling problem

My build motor is an edelbrock intake. I think its 3/8 lines in the intake and i just had to get the T stat riser. Do you run a 3/8 NPT to AN adapter? The Lines he used don't look like AN fittings

Well I bought some NOS -6 hose originally used for hydraulic lined but ok for water. Max. temp. 240 F. Going to try push loc fittings. I paid $2.00 for each hose... 24" long.
