lot of people talking about running a heavy axle tube or birdcage on the LR i know it would be rotating weight but could you possibly run a Steel wheel on the LR and be doing the same thing? Just curious

Thanks.

If your track allows, maybe. Most series have banned them, and many of the steel ones I found said they did not have a good enough bead for dirt use.

Wehrs and Keyser each make a steel wheel spacer, if that's what you're after...

I'm not sure rules allow them though...

Afco also makes a solid steel rotor.

Heavier rotating mass is free traction control...just saying.

There are reasons this is illegal as it's extremely dangerous to anyone, spectators and crews. Imagine a 100# plus wheel and tire combo breaking a rear end snout and coming off. That thing wouldn't stop for 3 miles

I made that in 2015, yes the scale is set to pounds.

Hub filled with lead???

Well the hub weighs about 7lbs. The rotor probably 8lbs. The flange & brgs around 3lbs. So that is 18lbs which leaves you with about 40lbs of mystery metal inside that hub! :-) It would take 98ci of lead to make 40lbs.

Seen tons break off in 2015 for sure. People hadn't perfected the art yet. LOL
