CARTERSVILLE, GA – Officials have cancelled the Tennessee Tip Off featuring the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series this weekend at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN due to the pending forecast of wet and cold weather. Smoky Mountain Speedway officials have announced the World of Outlaws Late Model portion of the show will be rescheduled for April 27-28.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has a scheduling conflict on those dates, and they are scheduled to be at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL for a pair of races on NASCAR Weekend. The NeSmith Late Model finale for the RockAuto.com Winter Shootout Series will be at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA with a pair of races on March 23 and March 24.
Smoky Mountain Speedway will host the NeSmith Late Models three more times during the 2018 racing season. The NeSmith Late Models will be in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway on July 27, October 5, and October 6.
