Toccoa Raceway Hosts Southern Nationals Bonus Series for $6,400-to-win Event on March 17th

March 11, 2018 (BRASSTOWN, NC)—The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will visit Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, Ga. on Saturday March 17th for a 64-lap, $6,400-to-win and $450-to-start event. This will mark the season opener for the track which is presented by Power Satellite and will mark the first-ever visit by the series.
The Southern Nationals Bonus Series Late Models will be joined in action by the United CC Modified Lite Series, the 602 Sportsman, the Modified Streets and Front Wheel Drives.
This event marks the second night of a double-header weekend for the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series. The tour will open the weekend at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C. on Friday March 16th racing 40 laps for $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start. This weekend will mark the start of the fifth season of the Ray Cook-promoted tour.
On Saturday March 17th the pit gates will open at 1:00 pm, the grandstand gates will open at 4:00 pm, the driver’s meeting will be at 5:00 pm and hot laps are scheduled for 5:15 pm. Grandstand admission is $20.00 per person while Seniors and Active Military will be admitted for $15.00 with valid ID. Pit Passes will be $35.00 per person.
The tire rule for the Toccoa Raceway SNBS event is as follows: Hoosier 1300, 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 44, 48 and 56 compounds. The Hoosier 1600 and American Racer 56 is a right-rear option. The entry fee is $100 plus a transponder rental if needed.
The track will hold an open practice on Wednesday March 14th from 6:00 until 9:00 pm.
