I have a 2007 dwb (smackdown copy?) and had a genx front clip put on it. Putting everything back together and the left side tires are not tracking. Left rear is inside the left front at least 3 inches. Running 33/35 axles. Everything else seems right, 4bars, lift bar, driveshaft. I know the genx control arms are both longer than what I had, but should the left tires still be tracking?

The left side tires should be pretty close to even (I would think), with the LR maybe a little in. A Gen-X uses a 34" LR axle (but you are correct for a Smackdown being at 33"). What's your distance from the top lift bar bracket on the rearend (inside the right hand bracket) to the center of the right rear frame rail? Assuming this is a copy of a Mastersbilt, I would think it should be in the 16 1/4" - 16 1/2" range. Or what length is your J-bar? Should also be somewhere in the area of 21 1/2". And not second guessing your measurements, but just don't overlook the obvious, like different offset wheels front to back or something.

21.5" jbar mounted to center of frame rail. 12.5" from rearend bracket to rr frame rail.

Try contacting Anthony White on Facebook, if he has one, he was the builder of those cars.

With the disclaimer that I've never seen one of these cars, and have no idea how close of a copy they are, that 12.5" measurement is what doesn't make sense to me. I don't see how that's possible, unless they moved the right frame rail in about 4" from where Mastersbilt has it, which wouldn't be possible unless the top of the RR shock were mounted to the outside of the frame.

And with that 12.5" being that much shorter, that would explain the rearend being too far to the right. I don't know...

My bet is the j-bar needs to be mounted to the left of where it is now on the chassis. Most mounts have a centered hole, with mount holes 2” to the left and right of center. ( unless it is a climbing mount. And some have a double arch, some are single)

I looked at my old notes and the jbar should be 20.5 and mounted to the center of the frame mount.(climber)

And he needs a 1" spacer on lr now.

I messaged Anthony White (Stone Plus) on facebook but haven't heard back yet. a25rjr, your old setup notes are for a dwb? If so, can I pick your brain on a few other things? Shoot me a private message

Sorry, they were my old notes on a Smack car. We ran them from 2006-10.
