American racers or Hoosiers and why? I have been running Hoosier A's and D's. Wondering if there is a better option.

been quite a while since I ran a or d but they are better than ar just based on the choices you have size wise and two compounds

Is the A and D even made anymore?

We're all on the M30 now.

I'm not sure if they are. I'm in Alaska and we have an open tire rule.

In the UMP modified, they don't supply the A or D anymore. Seemed to recall they quick making them. They make an As tire I think, which is tough to get to work. The current M30 and M60 tire are more like the late model tire, but also are difficult to make work. If you have an open tire rule, then there are ways to make any tire "work". Just food for thought.

American Racer doesn't have to fund the points to sell tires.
With no tire rule if your running Hoosier's your kidding yourself.
