Loudon, Tennessee (04/17/18) – Cory Hedgec ock picked up a pair of wins over the weekend in his Cushman #23 K&P Used Cars/ Transport One/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine Crate Late Model.

He won on Friday evening at Boyd’s Speedway before doubling down on Saturday night with a triumph at Volunteer Speedway. The victories pushed his 2018-win tally to five.

He added a Top-5 finish in Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals action on Saturday night at Volunteer Speedway in the Shadden Motorsports #9 XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model.

“Top to bottom we had a great weekend, and came away with three wins,” Hedgec ock noted. “We got the win on Friday night in the Crate Late Model at Boyds and then on Saturday night we fell back early in the feature, but was able to charge forward. I got into Trevor Sise while battling for the lead. I’ll take fault there, and I’m sorry for the contact. In the Super Late Model we struggled early, but got rolling late to come home with a Top 5.”

Cory Hedgec ock invaded Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Friday evening, where he competed against a field of 26 Crate Late Models. After recording the fastest time in qualifying, Hedgec ock cruised to a heat race victory, positioning him on the pole for the feature. With only four cars finishing on the lead lap, Cory streaked to his fourth win of the season, topping Rusty Ballenger, Lamar Scoggins, Chip Reynolds, and Jimmy Elliott.

On Saturday night Cory stopped at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee), where he was piloting both his Super Late Model and Crate Late Model. In a field of 26 cars for the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals-sanctioned Scott Sexton Memorial, Hedgec ock earned the 18th-starting position for the $10,052-to-win feature via preliminary events.

Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Cory charged through the field 13 spots in the 52-lap affair to finish fifth behind Dale McDowell, Donald McIntosh, Jimmy Owens, and Casey Roberts.

In the Crate Late Model division, Cory recorded the fourth fastest time in a field of 26 cars, positioning him fourth on the starting grid for the A-Main. Using the high-side to navigate his way to the front, Hedgec ock outran Trevor Sise, Jesse Lowe, Brandon Williams and Gary Crittenden in the 24-lap affair to register his fifth win of the season.
