Anyone have any luck welding up a small gouge in your wheels? I’ve been trying with know luck the wheel keeps cracking beside my weld. Need some pointers. Thanks

are you trying to wire weld it or tig weld? Ive welded up dozens of race wheels
without a problem... make sure wheel is very clean, and you are using the correct rod.

And drill a hole where the crack ends. I've always been told to weld at each end of the crack to keep it from continuing. And I've never had an issue. Never welded on a wheel though.

I was using 5356 rod

i have welded them with tig and mig with no problem , the advise about drilling the hole at end of crack is the best way on a crack......
