This week on Late Model Live on Dirt on Dirt they had a fantasy like draft of the top 5 drivers under the age of 25 and under. Their list was 1. Pierce 2. B Shep 3. Hud O'Nea l4. Moran 5. Tyler Erb - honorable mention - Tanner English. Do you think they got it right? Who would be your top 5? (edited to reflect the age of 25 and under)

No way is Sheppard not #1

Their argument I believe was the number of crown jewels Pierce has already won.

If its under 25, Sheppard is already too old.

Sheppard, Pierce, Moran, Hudson, Erb.

But isn't Sheppard older? If were talking under 30, Tyler Carpenter and Zack Dohm have to be mentioned.

B Shepp is 25.http://www.woolms.com/brandon-sheppard

Sheppard is already on the north side of 25, so he can't really be in the discussion.

But since he was put in there by DoD, having Pierce ahead of him is pants on head retarded.

I would consider them very much on par. But I use as much qualitative as quantitative analysis. But, this sport and life in general is very much "what did you do last week?"

Guys arguing about the specifics of age is my fault for not posting correctly in the beginning. B Shep has not turned 26, therefore, he meets the criteria. Now, let's move forward with the discussion.

they said top 5 drivers 25 and under so b.Sheep falls under it.

I wouldn't consider them on par just yet. It's entirely possible, likely even, that Bobby will get up to Brandon's level on the national stage, but it's premature to put Bobby in front of Brandon at this point in time.

Tell that to DoD. They're the ones that put his name in there. He's 25. Period.

Really don’t care if you like them or don’t or think they got hand because who they related too. Specially b.sheep and Bobby it’s very impressive what they have done so far in their racing career. They still have to wheel their cars against best wheelmen in the country.

I know what Bobby did in the family ride. I know what Shep has and does in the family ride. Blue 1 is the best car in country. There is the analysis.

I guess, I always figured that it would be a Bobby / Brandon battle till they was gray, but as of right now, Bobby has it, just because of the number of crown jewels won. The only way you beat one of these kids being at a race is both of them being there.

Delmas was always my late model hero until I watched Scott in 1990. I watched him win a couple races last year and couldnt believe it. Very impressive a 75 year old man had the motor skills to win. Keep it up 71

I think you guys missed the point of the segment Turn at DoD did. The NFL draft is today and they drafted racers like NFL teams would. They looked at body of work and they looked at age.

You could argue that Bobby is not the better driver now but he’s 4 years younger. You also have to take into consideration the ride Brandon is in right now.

Also they favored heavily on Bobby winning the biggest race in the World.

I know it sounds like I’m on Bobby’s side but I’m actually a fan of Sheppard and for the most part would never cheer for Pierce. Also if they both stay in the sport in 25 years people will be having the Moyer Bloomquist debate about them all over again.
