Logan Roberson Claims Fifth Win of 2018
Natural Bridge Speedway on Tap this Saturday
Waynesboro, Virginia (05/02/18) – Logan Roberson claimed his fifth win of the season over the weekend in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
The victory came on Friday night at Maryland’s Potomac Speedway.
“We had a great night at Potomac Speedway on Friday, and we were really fast at Winchester Speedway on Saturday, but we got handicapped with the eighth-starting spot for the feature because we had won there a few weeks earlier. That put us behind the eight ball, and then when the race went caution free, we just ran out of time,” Roberson said. “We just took that one on the chin, and now we’ll move onto the next race.”
On Friday evening Logan Roberson returned to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Maryland), competing in a field of 11 Crate Late Models. Finishing third in his heat race, Roberson earned the second-starting position for the A-Main.
Jumping into the lead at the drop of the green flag, Logan held off Chuck Bowie in the final 10 circuits to register his third-straight win and fifth overall on the season. Bowie, Jamie Sutphin, Matt Tarbox, and Darren Alvey completed the Top-5 finishers in the 20-lap affair.
On Saturday night at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), Roberson won his heat race but was forced to start eighth in the feature after winning the feature at the facility a few weeks earlier.
He went on to reel in a fourth-place finish in the feature trailing Devin Brannon, Tanner Kerr, and Mike Franklin across the finish line with Scott Sweeney coming in 5th.
