Summer nationals is always one of my favorite tours to keep track of. We'll try and make it out to watch the race at Haubstadt and maybe Paducah.

How many teams you think will run the whole tour?Who do you think makes a run at the title this year? New complexion not having Pierce around this time. I really hope to see Babb and Unzicker duke it out. The way Unzicker has started the year off he looks like he could be in the catbird seat

I think Unzicker will be hard to beat. Schlenk says he's running it, that'll be interesting. Probably Feger, and Babb?

I think first we must wait and see which drivers and teams decide to try and run the entire tour. Maybe this is the year Schlenk takes a serious shot at it. With out Pierce I think it's a wide open field for some one to take the reigns this year.

Bump the Tour point purse back up first to lets say $50k - $60K for the Championship and pay through the top 10 a little better then what they do now.

Babb, Unzicker, Gundaker, maybe Shirley, Feger & Schlenk.
Also don't forget Billy Moyer Jr. since he's already missed a few races on the WOO LMS tour since the birth of his daughter.
Would love to see Chris Simpson try and run the entire tour one year. I think he would be the instant top contender for the title if he ever did consider it.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Erb jumps ship on Lucas and runs it.

I myself will be hitting my first ever Hell Tour races. Spoon River, Tri City, FALS, Tri State, and I55.

Unzicker races with less then a full field of cars all the time how is that a big accomplishment? Not hard to run up front when you race with 15 cars.

How about last week at Macon? Ran second with some of the best in the business. Looked like a pretty big accomplishment to me.

Unzicker has a job, I bet you will also bash weaver spatola and so on, I get so sick of people thinking you have to run one of the big tours to amount to anything, these weekend warriors are my kinda drivers! Go Ryan!!!

No clue? I can read the results, I'm not a dumb fu*k like you. He wins at the same 2 tracks over and overRead the results from Macon then. He has also won at Oakshade over 50+ cars. He’s a good driver. He just has a family business, and a family, commitments away from racing. Sometimes they take precedence over racing and you can’t afford to follow some national tour. You have to be at the business, and if you believe in being with your kids and wife as much as you can, following a national tour would be very tough with young kids.

And some people don’t want that. He has talked about being burnt out on racing as it is. And with a family business, you need to focus on that and your family. Racing is second or third. And if racing isn’t number one, following a national tour or whatever it is you think he should do just isn’t a smart decision. Glad he puts his family business and family first. Just as Tyler Millwood stepped off of WoO because of the family business. He knew he was putting his family and co-workers in a pinch. And I have a lot of respect for people who think about more than just I,I,I, or me, me, me.

Go Ryan!!!I don't really consider him a week-end warrior, pretty sure he's able to pay full time crew guy and is pretty well funded. Not to the extent of the major series, but much better than most.

So let's think about this and what the tour might look like.
Possible drivers on tour.

Bob Gardner
Gordy Gundaker
Frank Heckenast Jr.
Nick Hoffman
Rusty Schlenk
Brian Shirley
Ryan Unzicker

Maybe
Shannon Babb & Jason Feger at most of the races.

Would be cool to see Steve Casebolt & Tanner English make a go of it as well.

I'd give the squirrel the nod as well as he seems to have a handle on the XR1 better than anybody else around here.

I'd like to see Tanner English run the Hell Tour. He would definitely make some noise. He's committed to the MARS series but their is only 1 conflicting date (Highland/Brownstown). With only 1 car, it would probably be a tough haul. I do hope he hits his fair share of them.
