I was just curious if there has ever been a driver to win the Dream and the World in the same year.

When was the million race for the dream 2001 cause it says that there wasn't a race in 01 on the wikipage it says moran won in 01 but this link says there was no race held in 01 http://www.coracingworld.com/stats/events_lm_dream100_wins.html

Bloomquist hasn't. But, he's won the Show Me and the Dream in the same season 3 times. Could this be a 4th? Every year he's won the Dream he's won quite a few other big events except maybe 1 season (13').

Moyer has won both the Dream and World in 98' and 10'

Both Moyer and Bloomquist have unbelievable accomplishments.

The first time Bloomquist won them both in the same year was 1995. And another little factoid about that year is that he started both races in 19th position.

Steve Francis in 1999

I stand corrected. He won the World 100 and the DTWC in 99

Jack Boggs won it in 95. Of all the the things Bloomquist has done in his career, he has not won both Eldora jewels in the same year.......YET

He went on a drought from 90-01 and didn't win the world. He stacked up on dream wins though.

Steve won the world and Eckert won the dream in 99.

Moran and Moyer are only two that one both in same year. They had couple years where winner of the dream almost won the world too in the same year.

Don't forget screwdriver/weight gate in 2015. Davenport won both that year.

I'm sorry, yeah I know he hasn't won the Dream and World....my post was in reference to the guy who said he had won the Show Me and Dream in the same year. I was just pointing out that he started near the back in both races and won...in back to back weeks.

The Million was supposed to be a stand alone race in 2000, but got rescheduled for Dream Weekend of 2001; so how Eldora looks at it the Dream was not held in 2001 and the Eldora Million was ran.

I personally prefer if they retrospectively (retroactively?) call that race a Dream. I refer to it, as I had heard a few also do, as the Million Dollar Dream.

And after 15 posts, congratulations Sir. We have a winner.

Scott came close in 2002 when he won the Dream but got pinched by Birky coming to the flag @ the World.
