Rod Conley Claims Second Win of 2018 Season During Hectic Holiday Weekend!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley kicked off his Memorial Day holiday weekend in grand fashion on Thursday evening, May 24 in a special Thursday Night Thunder program at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, as he emerged victorious to capture his second feature win of the 2018 campaign! Rod won his heat race in preliminary action and later beat Jason Montgomery, Kody Evans, Austin Mills, and his father Delmas Conley to the checkered flag in the unsanctioned feature event to score the $2,000 windfall! Delmas, who was making his 2018 season debut, finished third in his heat race before knocking down the top five showing in the main event. R.J. Conley was also in competition at the former K-C Raceway, but had a flat tire late in the headliner that dropped him to tenth in the final finishing order.

Following a rain-out of the $10,000 to win 'Jim Dunn Memorial' on Saturday night at Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio, Delmas and Rod Conley made their way to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Sunday for the track's season opener. Delmas ran second in heat race action and later moved up to third in the $2,000 to win contest. "Hot Rod" advanced from the tail of his heat race to finish fourth prior to blasting all the way up to fifth in the A-Main to trail only victor Eddie Carrier, Jr., Brandon Fouts, Delmas Conley, and Shannon Thornsberry at the checkered flag. Complete results from both weekend shows can be viewed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.

Over the June 1-2 weekend, two Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers – Delmas and Rod Conley – are slated to sling dirt at area racetracks. Delmas will once again tackle Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday night to vie for a $2,000 payday, while Rod will also race for a $2,000 top prize on Saturday evening at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. R.J. is currently scheduled to enjoy the upcoming weekend off from racing competition.
