Before that Twin Cities in North Vernon was always the opener. Like everything else, things change and times change so they now start elsewhere.

Honestly the racing at Peoria has not been that bad for the Hell tour dates. They just don't have the local cars to really challenge any of the regional guys anymore.

I haven't EVER seen a good SN race there. that place locks up after 12 - 14 laps in the feature.

The 2017 Summernational's race at Peoria was shaping up to be a good one between Bobby Pierce and Billy Moyer Jr. Jr. It rained it out following lap 20 and then deemed a complete show. Some folks were a bit PO'd about the shortening of the race but I reckon there was no other workable alternative.

We'll be there for this years edition of the Peoria SN. It's a racy lil' joint.

how I wish Beloit had a track. 30 minutes from home. I would attend if 4 cylinders were the headline class.

P-Town runs to many classes in my opinion. But having said that I believe last year they had the biggest crowd in recent years. So maybe it don't matter.

That would be cool but doubtful. The Neltner's generally don't venture out too far from home. To bad. That team has been a force around Peoria for a long time with a lot of successful drivers.

Yes, missed the call for their heat. Push truck pushed him on the track, couldn't keep the car running. Not sure what the issue was??

Took a provisional for the feature, pulled off after lap 2, I believe. Tough break.
