For $5 per each you can get get a reserved seat in one of the turns as a plan b if lawn chair area is too crowded to be enjoyable or what have you. ($44 for reserved seat, pit passes are a $5 upgrade).

There are still reserved lawnchair seats available on the concrete terraces in 3 and 4.I would recommend turn 4 .

There is an age requirement at Eldora for the Pits, I don't know how old your son is but you might want to check that out.

I looked before posting and unless I missed it.. there was nothing together outside of ADA.

There are available seats together in any of the NT sections..

Edit : You are correct. Looked at the wrong date.

I believe that the minimum age for pit entry is 16.I'm pretty sure of this as me and my son have been going there for 10 years.

plenty of lawn chair room down in turn 1. Pit pass is a very reasonable $5 upgrade from your ticket. Minimum pit age is 14 but must sign a adult permission waiver at the pit pass window if under 18. Hope this helps and you and your son have a great time. Go early on Saturday and spend some time down in the infield. No better environment in racing than Sat afternoon at the World
