Does Moyer have over 800 victories, or am I confused?

His webpage states 828

That’s 1 win a week for 16 years

He’s been racing for a lot longer than 16 years.

With all these new rules and as even as the competition can be, I don’t figure you will see the best of the best win 200 nowadays

I tend to agree. Another factor is the sheer numbers of races they can run. When Moyer was coming up, he could have conceivably run like 5 nights a week. It’s not really like that anymore.

Exactly Josh. Years ago you could run Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday. Some days on dirt and some days asphalt with the same car

Welcome to, "the next level"... They say this is better, a step up. I don't see it.

Richards has 160. I’m pretty sure he’ll get there too. It’s likely both hit 300 before they’re done driving.

Read somewhere that Moyer has 96 Summernats wins? Hope he get to be the first (maybe only) one to hit 100 before he retires.

Babb is only 2-3 wins behind him

How many season didn't Richards not race? He could possibly be around 180ish then or quite a bit more.

Thanks for the correction. I guess it's who gets it first then. Adds a little interest.

Yup...Hav-A-Tampa, Stars, early days of the Summer Nats, WoO before there was a Lucas series...
6 time World 100 winner...

He's never beat anybody for any of those 828 victories!?!?

I think something worth considering is the level of competition for which those mentioned have won that many races. Certainly for the younger racers like Pierce and Richards. And for the older guys like Moyer and my hero, the zero. Those 800+ wins weren't at the local track. Some were, yes, but a good percentage are on big stages like Eldora.

Anyone have a rough estimate on career earnings for someone like Moyer? Minus tee shirt sales, etc., but just in purse money. Has to be in the millions, but how many. Two or three? I think Bloomquist won over $500K in 1996 alone (or one year right around there).

So...you knew it was a dumb statement to begin with.

Bloomer and Moyer have earned every one of those W's. Never met a single driver who offered to give one back.

Never met a single great driver that enjoyed finishing second either, which is why Bloomet and Moyer are arguably the two greatest of all-time.

There is no way Pierce has won 172 super races simce he started in 2011.Maybe if you are counting crate late models, kidz modz, go carts....

Pierce had won 97 super late model races ( NO CRATES) prior to the 2018 season. He won at Pontoon Beach and Macon to bring the total to 99.

His next Late Model win will be # 100.

Buck Simmons won over 1000 feature races in his career.
(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Trickle won over 1200 races in his career.
Don't matter who they were racing or if they were racing in a 5 car field that is a lot.
It is estimated that (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Trickle turned over one million laps on a race track.

best part of Moyers career and all his wins is hes done it all with nothing but class....just like another late model great named Freddy Smith Both could be called Mr. Smooth. During qualifying at Pennsboro old Fast Freddy would look like he was running slow laps when in reality he was setting fast time. He was running so smooth and flat that he appeared to be running in slow motion. Both drivers always acted with class and dignity.

Moyer hasn’t been caught cheating, isn’t a rough driver, and has closed to 900 wins. 900!

Regardless of if you’re a fan or not, appreciate the final years of racing from Moyer and Bloomquist. They are the best to ever do it and nobody else will come close.

Trickle has as many wins in his lifetime as he had the amount of cigarettes he smoked.
