The old way of heats one day, B and A Mains the next is definitely the past. 26 cars at the Mag. That’s an all time low. Should’ve been 2 days 2 features.

It's a crock. Lucas late models were on the track less than 25 minutes last night - hot laps, qualifying, 3 heats. They were done before 9:10. I'm not going back until they change the format. They run 4 local classes to justify the double admission? Nobody is traveling to see locals race for $250. They're running one B-main tonight just to elimate 3 cars.

That's how promoters recoup their money.

I think if the purse was better they'd have got a better turn out, $20K for a 100 laps is a bit low this day in age, especially with depth of talent to face and 2 day format. They might as well start everybody and not worry with B-main. I like the 2 day show format, instead of every race being exactly the same. JMO

The problem is just a full weekend or racing and some of the big time outlaw schedule guys went on tour.

Snbs - $10k in Kentucky
Sas - $5k in Tennessee
Ultimate - $20k in Virginia
Two unsanctioned $3k in Georgia with Dixie and GIS
WoO are on and out of town.

Just not enough cars to go around for all that. It was easy to see that the mag would get Lucas boys plus Mississippi's best and not much more.

Every race you mentioned was one day shows. They all drew the same or more minus the Outlaws in New York which is not really late model country. And the Summernationals raced, which they do against magnolia every year. These other races, drivers make money each night. Not true for the Mag. Maybe a little in heats. But not much.

I believe 2 of the 3 WoO events had 30 cars. The one Friday night way in upstate NY had 20 or so.

no way do I want to sit through a 2-day event with 26 cars. complete BS. Same reason I won't go back to the Jackson 100 Brownsburg IN

Format might not have been great, but the race sure appeared to be.

I’ll agree on race video. It was good.
