Iron-Man Series Super Late Models and Modifieds Make First Trip to Florence Speedway Saturday June 23

SOMERSET, KY – June 17, 2018 – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com and Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Slicker Graphics Modifieds will make their first-ever appearances at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Saturday June 23, with the Super Late Models racing for $5,000 to win and the Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,500 to win.

The King Family owned Florence Speedway will host both tours for the first-time ever on Saturday June 23, with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series competitors racing for $5,000-to-win and $450-to-start. The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Slicker Graphics Modifieds will also be in action at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 23, competing for $1,500 to win. Also in competition at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 23 will be the G&G Express Sport Mods and Hornet divisions. The pit area will open at 4:00 p.m., with the main and backside general admission areas opening at 5:00 p.m. Practice laps will begin at 5:30 p.m., with racing set for the green flag at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices at Florence Speedway on Saturday June 23 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, with children ages 6 to 11 being $3, while a pit pass will be $35.

The Super Late Model portion of the program will be sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series. The entry fee will be $50, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Super Late Model tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 (LO3), 1600 (LO6), LM40 and American Racer 48 and 56. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $50 tow money.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Slicker Graphics Modified Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the program. The entry fee will be $25, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Open Wheel Modified tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Hoosier M60 and American Racer Extra Hard will be mandatory on the right rear of the cars and all tires can be siped, but no grooving of any tire is allowed. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $25 tow money.
