I'm safely in my car. I just don't understand how in the age of social media and the vast majority of people having the internet in their pocket why we can't move these events up an hour to try to get them in. There was no sense of urgency until it became obvious that a storm was almost here.

It makes me extra angry because I've been into weather all my life. I'm a trained spotter and I've dabbled in storm chasing. I know how to interpret radar and forecast models. I KNEW it was going to storm at 8:00. I thought (stupidly) "surely they know the situation and will hurry the program along and run the lates first". I should've known better. If they had just moved it up one hour, we could've got at least the LM feature in, which is the one 99% of us were there for in the first place. They never learn...

He was not there. I thought they did best they could tonight. Rain hit just around 8. Some forecasts were showIng it might hold til 9. They would have a hard time just starting an hour early on spur of moment with people arriving at 6:30 or later for a show advertised for racing to start at 7. I think they would have got in the late models and mods if weather had held til 9. Delay for Kloos incident was gonna really hurt their cAuse. Hope he is alright.
