DoD seem to really like Covert. I remember a couple of years back they gave him a lot of Atta Boys.

It may even pay better. I couldn't find the payout through the field for this year, but in years past they paid through the field very well. Not only that, but they run that 30 lap Uncle Sam race for Non-qualifiers that has paid $3k to the winner, $2k for 2nd and $1k for 3rd. They also paid very well down through the order for the big show and were paying $2k to start back in 2007. IMO they do an excellent job of making it rewarding for locals and regionals to run.

Because when the weather is good, it’s a great weekend. It originally went to three nights because of an early season rainout. It stayed at three nights because was such a hit with the fans and drivers after that first year of 3 nights.

Hopefully next year it’ll be a can’t miss forecast and you’ll see why it’s a three night event.

I really doubt Brandon goes on being dominate. I’ll give Brandon Fairbury out the gate. Fayette and Oshkosh I’ll give him being a little more favorite over madden and marlar, But the rest it’s a coin flip. If go back look at all the events after firecracker 100. Madden didn’t finish to far behind Brandon, the ones Brandon won. Some madden started on first row. Madden on the first row this year is almost impossible to beat.

There was lot of events marlar went to and ran really great at. He finished right behind or in front of Brandon and madden.

Some many said Brandon was going a run away with championships, Look who leading points. Me and handful people said marlar could win it. Marlar is still in striking distance to take over point lead. Most said it was going be a Brandon show, B.hepp vs Overton.

Planet you make a very strong and very valid point about Marlar. I would love to see Madden win the championship and be the first local boy from my area to win a national touring title. the way I think this plays out is it comes down to the final race and its a 3 way dance for the money and trophy
