CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 13 in the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series saw no changes at the top of the point standings in the four Divisions. There were some changes, however, in the Weekly Point Averages (WPAs) among the Top 20 drivers in each Division as the 27-week 2018 season approaches the halfway point.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS continues to lead the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division point standings after a 48-point third-place finish for Week 13. Scarbrough has 628 points and has a 24-point lead over Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS. Scarbrough is second on the WPA list at 48.31 of a possible 50, and Russell is ninth on the WPA list at 46.46.

Both Scarbrough and Russell have competed in all 13 weeks of racing. Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is third in the Late Model National standings with 567 points after 12 weeks of racing and is fifth on the WPA list at 47.25. Tim Dees of Meridian, MS is fourth in the standings with 563 points with 13 weeks of racing, and Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL is fifth with 539 points after 12 weeks of racing.

The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Josh Leonard of Gibbon, NE is on top of the WPA list at 48.55. Leonard is 14th in the standings with 437 points after nine weeks of competition. In the last four weeks of racing, Leonard has three wins and a third-place finish.

Delbert Smith of Wichita, KS is 15th in the standings with 434 points after nine weeks of racing and is third on the WPA list at 48.22. The 2012 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series National Late Model Champion Chase Washington of Houlka, MS is eighth in the standings with 526 points after 11 weeks of racing, and is fourth on the WPA list at 47.82.

Steve Maughan of Florence, AL remains the point leader in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division after his fourth win of the season on Sunday night at Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL. Maughan has 580 points and is the only driver to have competed in all 13 weeks of the season.

Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is second in the Street Stock standings with 568 points after 12 weeks of racing and is fourth on the WPA list at 47.33. Ray’s sixth win of the season was a 40-point victory on Friday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS. Bryan Fortner of Millport, AL is third in the standings with 562 points after 12 weeks of competition, and he is fifth on the WPA list at 46.83. Fortner picked up his third win of the season on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway.

Chad Winkles of Hartselle, AL is fourth in the standings with 555 points after 12 weeks of racing, and he is tenth on the WPA list at 46.25. In his last three weeks of racing, Winkles has two wins and a third-place finish.

Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is fifth in the standings with 548 points after just 11 weeks of racing, which puts him on top of the WPA list at 49.82. In the 11 weeks Idom has raced, he has credit for ten of his 11 wins, the latest coming on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.

Michael Blount of Sumrall, MS is seventh in the standings with 479 points after ten weeks of competition and is second on the WPA list at 47.9. Mike Lane of Pace, FL is 18th in the standings with 379 points after eight weeks of racing. That puts him third on the WPA list at 47.38.

Brandon Crosby of Anniston, AL tops the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Sportsman Division standings for the second straight week with 579 points. Crosby is the only Late Model Sportsman driver to have competed in all 13 weeks of action this season. Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL is second in the standings with 555 points after 12 weeks of racing and is sixth on the WPA list at 46.25.

Mitchell has two third-place finishes and a fourth-place effort in his last three weeks of racing. Tody Ratcliff of Meridian, MS is third in the standings with 539 points after 12 weeks of competition. Ratcliff has a 40-point win and a sixth-place showing in his last two weeks of racing.

Blake Ray of Russellville, AL is fourth in the standings with 529 points after 11 weeks of racing and is second on the WPA list at 48.09. Ray has two wins and a second-place finish in his last three weeks of racing. Heather Lowe of Warrior, AL is fifth in the standings with 488 points after 11 weeks of racing.

Nick Thrash of Meridian, MS raced to his fifth win of the 2018 season on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Thrash is 15th in the standings with 394 points after eight weeks of racing which puts him on top of the WPA list at 49.25.

Todd Clemmons is 18th in the standings with 390 points after eight weeks of competition and is third on the WPA list at 47.5. Clemmons has eight top five finishes in the eight weeks he has raced. Haden Duncan of Leighton, AL is seventh in the standings with 471 points after ten weeks of racing that puts him fourth on the WPA list at 47.1.

Duncan has driven to five straight wins in Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman competition with the latest coming on Sunday night at Moulton Speedway. Tony Shelton of Steens, MS is tied for the tenth spot in the standings with Aaron Fitzhugh of Lena, MS, each with 417 points. Shelton earned his in nine weeks and has the fifth highest WPA among the Top 20 at 46.33. Shelton took his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway.

Andy Davis of Argo, AL continues to lead the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division standings with 429 points and is the only driver in the Division to have competed in 11 weeks of action. Davis picked up his third 40-point win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Davis shares a three-way spot on top of the WPA list at 39 with Justin Angle of Anniston, AL and Chris Yarbrough of Eastaboga, AL. Angle and Yarbrough are tied for second in the standings with 390 points apiece after ten weeks of racing for each driver.

Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN is fourth in the standings with 346 points after nine weeks of racing and is fourth on the WPA list at 38.44. Ron Bailey of Huntsville, AL is fifth in the standings with 345 points after nine weeks of racing and is fifth on the WPA list at 38.33.
