Mississippi Triple Header Up Next for COMP Cams Super Dirt Series
Action Opens Thursday Evening at Magnolia Motor Speedway

Beebe, Arkansas (07/04/18) – There’s no rest for the weary on the 2018 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). Just a few days after concluding a three-day rumble through the Sooner State, the series now heads to the Magnolia State this weekend – July 5-7 – for a trio of big events.

Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man, Jack Sullivan leads the touring band of racers into battle this weekend with a 102-marker advantage atop the standings over B.J. Robinson. Hunter Rasdon, Gavin Landers, Tanner Kellick, Robert Baker, David Payne, Robby Moore, Jake Davis, and Austin Theiss round out the Top 10 in the current standings.

Meanwhile Tanner Kellick continues to lead the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year standings over Austin Theiss and Jake Davis.

As always, a trip to Mississippi means facing some of the regions top drivers. Other competitors, who have voiced an intent to enter at least one event during the course of the three-race weekend include Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Chris Wall, Chad Thrash, Jamie Tollison, Clay Fisher, Chandler Petty, Chad Dupont, Cade Dillard, Brett White and more.

Action kicks off on Thursday night at Johnny Stokes Magnolia Motor Speedway with a $2,000-to-win/$350-to-start event at the state-of-the-art 3/8-mile oval. B.J. Robinson picked up the win, when the series visited the facility back in May. Durrence Layne Late Models, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Late Model Sportsman will also be in action. Pits open at 3:00 p.m. with grandstands at 5:00 p.m. and racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $15 with kids (10 and under) free with a paying adult. Adult pit passes are $35 with kids (6-10) $25 and children (5 and under) free a paying adult.

Friday night finds the action shifting to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi), where a $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start event will be held. This will be the first visit to the facility in 2018 by the CCSDS. Durrence Layne Crate Late Models, Durrence Layne 602 Sportsman, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks will all join the action. Pits open at 4:00 p.m. with grandstands at 5:00 p.m. and hot laps at 7:00 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with Senior Citizens/Military $16, kids (7-12) $10 and children (6 and under) free. Adult pit passes are $35 with kids (7-12) $20 and children (6 and under) free
The weekend triple header draws to a close on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) with another $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start program. Brian Rickman emerged victorious at the ¼-mile oval when the tour rolled into town back in May. Durrence Layne Late Models, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, Outlaw Hobbies and Factory Stocks will also be in action. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (6-14) $5 and children (5 and under) free. Adult pit passes are $35 with kids (6-14) $10 and children (5 and under) free.
