I'd like to see the purse break down on it.

According to my math if it's $174,000 for 1st and $3400 To Start and there's 26 cars that's only $85,000 to add in. It would be interesting to see full payout.

Is there an actual cut off day or does it go right to the day of the event?

As of today, the total purse for the feature alone is $342,000. First place and last place add up to $177,000. That leaves $165,000 for the rest of the field as of today. With 5 more weeks to go before this event, I think the payout will be about $200,000 to win and $4000 to start which will be the 2nd largest payout of all time.

If you want to see how the payoff will be distributed, go to the dirt million web site and check out the
driver entry form.

I love when people who typically don’t have a car or any intention of going cream themselves discussing the payout lol

No whining at all on this post, I think the race is a good deal. (Read above) we are discussing and imagining what 2nd thru 14th might pay?

I'm surprised that with such a costly facility and project to remove the asphalt and add dirt that they chose to skimp on the quality of the racing surface. The garbage they dumped on there is powder, not clay. They shouldn't have tried to cut costs on the most important part of a dirt track.

I think a portion of every PPV purchase goes towards the purse as well. That's why they're having a purse "ticker" countdown right before they start the feature.

At least they are running pill draw heats, if the track is even remotely racey it will be entertaining.

Well then they should be. I thought I read somewhere they are. At least they're not qualifying again on Saturday.

Seems as though it is shaping up to be pretty good. I think the "million" expectation was a little high. But if it turns out to be a on going event. Who knows what it could get too in few years

People can say what they want about the promoter , one thing they can't say is that he doesn't have ballz.

I like what he is doing all the way around.....it may not always be perfect, but hes a pretty clever guy and the inovation is pretty exciting to see.

The most disappointed driver in this whole deal will be whoever finishes second....knowing that they could've had an extra $137,000 on that check.

Might be best to be running 3rd on the last lap and steal a "W" out of turn four.

I'll guarantee you if it's side by side on the last lap for the lead, there's gonna be a demo derby back to the line. I don't forsee too many of these guys backing off and settling for $34,000 if the $171,000 is within their grasp.

The last lap might be sponsored by Western Snowplows.

Compared to the Dream? That's quite a drop off also.

1. $100k
2. $20k
3. $12,500
4. $10k
5. $8,750

Biggest problem I see is there no incentive for the 19th thru 28th place cars to keep turning laps.

Like many of the "big" races you'll see guys pull off early if they don't believe they have a top 15 car.

Might want to reconsider the name of race in future events. This will never ever be close to a "Dirt Million" race. Perhaps Dirt All Stars Funder.

It is decided the American way. Popularity contest.

Sounds a lot like how some series decide to test and rule on whom for what......tires, drugs etc.

If you're a certain popular team or driver you're automatically guilty if your another popular team or driver you're only sorta guilty.

Smoke em if you got em Sammy.

Is this race sanctioned and if so, by whom?
