Thoughts on how the points look after PDC? Marlar has a 22 point lead over Madden and 60 on Bshepp. Bshepp is 38 out of second. After that Clanton is way out of it at 4th place over 200 points behind. Could these next 3 events be the deciding role in the championship?

I doubt it. If they've made it this far and stayed this close I figure it will come down to Charlotte.

I think it will come down to charlotte as well. I think it’s just beginning to heat up

I think it will too but these next 3 events will definitely be interesting to see how it sets up.

I’m also in the school of thought that it’ll come down to Charlotte.

Do you think it still be in the same order when it gets to Charlotte? Marlar, Madden and Bshepp?

He had it down to I wanna say -38 from about -60 not that long ago and then something happened and it caused l him to slip back to about -60 back again.

BShepp had a part failure either last weekend or the weekend before and he finished in 17th i do believe and that caused it to go back up to 60. I think if Madden can get to Cedar Lake and have the distance closed to like 10 i think he can take back the lead. I just hope that all 3 guys can keep their equipment healthy and not get involved in no bone headed back marker BS like Madden got caught up in with Larson. If they can stay out of trouble and if it stays close then my money will be on Madden at the last race in Charlotte.

Marlar had a somewhat slow start to the season compared to the other 2, but even then he was solid and put himself in a good enough place to when they had a couple off nights, he was right there to pounce on their bad luck. I think itll be a close battle, I dont see him losing the point lead though. He's been top 5'ing them to death pretty much all year.

I hope it is. The WoO needs a season with a good point battle.

zyoung you are right he did have a slow start to the season and now he has the new rocket car on a freaking rail and is smooth with it. I like how tight the points battle is and all 3 drivers have been pretty consistent for the most part. I guess me being from SC i want Madden to win the title but i would be ok if marlar or bshep won it cause they are all 3 good at what they do.

Marler has a slow start.. but honestly I don’t think he’s finished out of the top 10 in a couple months and the way the woo points Work consistency is key

Marlar runs pretty good at Cedar Lake. Short of a parts failure or wreck I don’t think Madden makes up much ground, if any, there.

He had the flat at dubuque while running off with the race. He's been lighting it up lately.

I only see Marlar with a 2nd, 10th and a 5th at Cedar Lake the last 5-6 years in the results. Or he hasn't been there. Which isn't bad. The way he has been running though he should easily be one of the favs.

He hasn’t been every year.

I think we all just need to give Mikey props, first time running a major tour and he’s put himself in a great position to win the title. Well done, bub.

That's a great ? It has changed a couple times over the years.

Thursday night program only became WoO sanctioned about 4 years ago. Prior to that it was Corn Belt sanctioned, and prior to that it was UMP sanction. Before that, I have no idea???

The Friday/Saturday portion of the USA Nats do not count in the WoO points standings. At least they haven't in years past.

I believe Thursday night is a points night now, but if I'm mistaken, I'll gladly admit that mistake.

Well Madden has the tie breaker for wins 6-4 but yes by points.

I did see a tie one time years ago. Came down to wins. Not sure what is after that.

Anyone know what WoO or Lucas uses in that case if drivers are tied for wins? Top5's?

MDF, in '05 Moyer and Francis tied in points, and had the same # of wins, so that time they used 2nd place finishes as the tie breaker. Moyer had one more than Francis, thus giving him the championship. Not sure if either tour still uses this method.

Thanks for the info. Currently it's Sheppard (11), Madden (6) and Marlar (4)

Had it been a points night, we'd have a new points leader. And the top 3 would all be within 2-3 points of each other. It's gonna be a good battle for the top spot in WoO.

no competition outside of those 3. It will come down to the last night hopefully Sheppard can get a little closer to make that finally weekend more fun for the fans to watch.

How close does he have to be to have a realistic chance? Id like to see them both only 5-6 points out entering Charlotte

Ryan21mid
08-20-2018, 02:19 PM
4 point difference between 1st and 2nd, 2 points per position after that. I think realistically Shepp is gonna have to be within 10 going into Charlotte to have a shot at getting by Marlar and Madden both.

racincowboy02

Madden 4728
Marler 4706
Sheppard 4698

That is after 8-19 and now they are off til 9-21 when they head to NY PA and OH
