Postponed by mother nature for almost two months the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance returned to action after the Beckley, WV postponement on an absolutely beautiful Saturday evening for the 2nd Round of the 14th Annual FASTRAK Triple Crown Series as $3000 was up for the taking for the winner and the Race for the Howard Miller Grandfather Clock continued in the NRV Furniture 3000. After the May 25th Round #1 event from 311 Motor Speedway won by #79 Ross Bailes, the wildcard in the equation for the clock would be the ˝ mile high banked immaculate facility that is Wythe Raceway nestled in the Alleghany Mountains of the Commonwealth State. A spectacular crowd witnessed as always when FASTRAK is there an amazing night with great sunsets, food, fireworks and intense racing. When the race finished and what a show it was #6 Dillon Brown would take the biggest paying win in his crate late model career so far $3000 surviving a wild one at Wythe.

The race would start with #k22 Kenny Peeples Jr. on the pole and he’d lead a few circuits before lap 3 when #6 Dillon Brown would make his move to take the point and honestly from there hold off all comers in the like of #4 Matthew Nance, #12 Brandon Umberger, #75 Brett Hamm to prevail on top. There we’re a total of four cautions with minor incidents involving stalled cars on the ˝ mile and tires cutting down but when the green flag came back out the action was unbelievable as it always is, the fans we’re on the edge of their seat or standing cheering with jubilation of what was witnessed. On lap 30 THE BIG ONE happened exiting on the backstretch involving a half dozen cars. Worst for ware was #00K of Randy Kinder and #8 Chris Chandler that ended the night, #99 Teddy Tate, #5 Hunter Stinnett and #54 Jason Johnson we’re able to continue. With 20 laps to go after the RED Flag the race would begin for Nance, Umberger and even the inaugural FASTRAK debut for #00 Carson Ferguson to try to mount a upset to get around Brown, but it just wouldn’t be the case as the Gaffney, SC native picked up his 2nd FASTRAK touring win of his career for Round #2 of the FASTRAK Triple Crown Series in the NRV Furniture Inc 3000. #4 Nance was second, third to #12 Umberger while #00 Ferguson and #75 Hamm rounded out the Top 5 at the checkers falling.
