Edited due to my lack of understanding of dirt late model racing.

Of course they aren't going to head north and chase $50k. You see that schedule they have coming up that's back loaded with high paying events? That and the fact they race every weekend up to the DTWC, after coming off a pretty long stretch since the beginning of July. It was like 7 events in 9 nights or something at one time. Yes we know Bloomquist is suspended but we also know WoO isn't exactly on BPM's Christmas card mailing list.

The USA Nationals hasn't drawn more than 50 cars in a few years. It's also in a part of the country where it's a haul for most teams.

Just my opinion? 3 night show and 3 full shows.
Night 1
$10,000 To Win,6000,4000,3500,3000,2500,2250,2000,1800,1600,1 400,1200, $1000 To Start
$51,250.00 Purse
Night 2
$20,000 To Win,10,000,6000,4000,3500,3000,2750,2500,2250,2000 ,1800,1600, $1500 To Start
$78,900.00 Purse
Night 3
$30,000 To Win,15,000,10,000,7500,6000,5000,4250,3500,3000,28 00,2600,2400,2200, $200 To Start
$120,250.00 Purse
***$250,400.00 Total A-Main Puse***
Cedar Lake Speedway is $25 Night 1, $30 Night 2, $35 Night 3 for general admission $90, make it $100 or $105 ($5 extra each Night). $15 @ 5000 Fans is $75,000 extra to the track and that's way more than the added money to the purse.

Love it when someone that has never promoted, never made a payroll, hasn’t dealt with insurance, or the myrad of other things that go into overseeing a track comes up with a sure-fire purse structure. There are plenty of tracks sitting vacant gentlemen, just say’n.

Its not a 3 day race. Wednesday is 12k to win R. Latham, stand alone event. Thursday is 10k shoot out, stand alone event. North / South is a 2 day worth the 50k to win, and the purse listed above.

I also think regular weekly shows could make hard earned money buy charging less. I've seen this happen when say a track charges $12 general admission on a regular night charge $5 one or two nights a year. They get 1000 Fans instead of 500 or 600 and there concessions and beer sales go through the roof.

If the track made that much more on the $5 nights, why wouldn't they charge that all the time?

It would never last but once or twice seem to work. I'm not talking $10,000 extra dollars but a lot of tracks are battling break even on a regular night. U could lose your butt also but I've seen it work.

Florence Speedway had one FREE admission night last year and one this year and the place was packed. Hopefully with the sponsors help and concession sales they had a great money night.

I absolutely hate the 2 day format, if u r a normal person that has a job, and u miss Friday night, u pay the premium price to get n Saturday to watch the top teams run the 100 lap race and that's it.... I know I am 1 in a million, but I will not be back to florence for this reason.

I love the two day format..with that said I must agree if you just go on Sat night yes you have to wait all night to see the guys locked in, which maybe one of ur favorite drivers, so I see your point...

Your spot was filled well before you decided to not go back.

Then definitely don’t go to Knoxville Saturday only. They only have 3 races Saturday night. usually two b-mains then the feature and no support class. The 100 lapper on Saturday is phenomenal though and worth every cent either in person or on PPV

Pretty sure I never said that. However, feel free to go back and quote me if you can find where I did. Looking forward to your next FALS bashing post, though. Let me know if you need any tools to knock down that massive chip on your shoulder for Fairbury. 🤡

I agree I hate 2 day formats. I have been to the PDC when it was a one day show. I understand why they need the 2 day show but, I refuse to go to them. If it wasn't for me getting to watch the Mods during the ppv portion of the pdc I wouldn't even buy it. I like it better if they would run 2 shows with complete programs. Heat races and A-main both nights

2 day shows are 1 day of racing in 2 days (money grab). Charge me $60 for a 1 night show and I'm good. As for Knoxville, I don't go anymore for the lack of racing on Saturday night and they do have a extra seat for me. There's no right or wrong with these events as they have to figure out how to pay the purse.

For years, it was $40 to get in to the Saturday night full show, now in order to se the SAME show, u have to pay $25 on Friday, and still $40 on Saturday.... dont guess I understand why people want to line the promoters pockets to watch the same show..... if the promoter is paying ZERO out on Friday night, why does he have to charge $25 GA/$40PITS ?
