And if not, what was the reason given?

No, because it wasn't "traditional qualifying format"

If that’s the case then I disagree with not using points. You still have an A main, heats, last chance qualifiers and provisionals. It’s a race on tour so my opinion it should be a points race not show up points. Pretty sure the Silver Dollar on the Lucas tour was a points race. Unless I’m wrong?

That's pretty dumb.

Supposedly it hasn't been a points event for quite a few years.

It's been a show up points event for like five years now.

Too bad. Had it been a points night, their would almost be a 3 way tie for the lead. Separated by just a couple points.

Yep. Then with the Farley race cancelled they have 4 events in 4 nights coming up. That will still be interesting but even MORE interesting had it been a regular points event.

If you are offering provisionals you should pay points.

I know on the sprint side that the Kings Royal is a show up points night, as is the Knoxville Nationals. But guess what, no provisionals.

When I first heard you guys saying that I thought you were joking. That whole thing seems crazy to me. "We're going to run you all over the place chasing points, except this one race we will just give show up points."

Good post. Take the good with the bad. There shouldn't be provisionals in those non points nights in Volutia Fl. either. Should WOO even be allowed to call it WOO sanctioned race and take a fee?
