They shortened the race to 25 laps. From watching the video it looked like half the field ran a handful of laps and pulled in.

until he got to bouncing, he was. Davenport was as well until he got the bouncies and broke something. Ole JD's back end was probably a foot off the ground 4-5 times coming out of turn 4 before something let loose.
