CARTERSVILLE, GA – Drivers competing with the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Saturday night at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA will have an opportunity to race for some Bonus Money courtesy of Helbing Brown Concrete Construction and Mudd Sauce.
Helbing Brown Concrete Construction will add $100 to the Fast Qualifier to go with the $100 put up by the season Fast Time Sponsor Knowles Race Parts and Bodies. The Knowles Race Parts and Bodies/Helbing Brown Concrete Construction Fast Qualifier tomorrow night for the $3,000-to-win 50-lap race will pocket $200.
The seventh-place finisher in tomorrow night’s 50-lap Chevy Super Series Race will pick up an extra $50 courtesy of Mudd Sauce. To find out more about Mudd Sauce, visit their web site at www.muddsauce.com.
Before a wheel is turned on the race track, the cars and stars of the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will present themselves to the race fans at Cochran Motor Speedway in the Chevy Fan Zone. This is a pre-race tradition exclusive to the Chevy Super Series as the drivers bring their race cars to the fans in the grandstand area.
Race fans can meet the drivers, get their autographs and see their dirt late model racing machines up close. The super late models in the Chevy Super Series are powered by the all-aluminum Chevrolet Performance CT525 Racing Engine that is based on the production LS3 Engine that comes in the Chevrolet Pick-Up Truck, the Chevrolet Corvette, and the Chevrolet Camaro.
The drivers will have Hero Cards to hand out to the kids, and the kids can also participate in the coloring contest, with trophies being awarded to the best rendition of their favorite Chevy Super Series race car. The Chevy Fan Zone will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Cochran Motor Speedway.
The Chevrolet Performance CT 525 is built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. The engine is available to competitors for $7,100 and $9,950 with the start-up kit from Durrence Layne Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Claxton, GA with free next-day delivery anywhere in the Southeast.
On Saturday at Cochran Motor Speedway, the pit gate opens at 5 p.m., with Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:45 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.
