Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Series “Butterball” Memorial at Richmond Raceway Postponed to September 15
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY – August 18, 2018 – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series sanctioned 31st Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge was set to take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday August 18, but rains that passed through the area have forced the event to be postponed until Saturday September 15.
Rain showers began to fall around 2:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Richmond Raceway and by 2:30 p.m., the rain showers became more intense and totally saturated the racing surface and pit area, forcing the event to be postponed until Saturday September 15, when the race will take place paying $10,059 to win and $500 to start.
The next event for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will be Saturday August 25 at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY for the track’s Harold Hardgrove Memorial event, paying $5,022 to win. The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will also return to action at this event at Lake Cumberland Speedway and will race for $1,022 to win.
