The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will make its first ever trip to the Bluegrass state on September 29th at Richmond Raceway in Kentucky. The 1st Annual “(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Yankees 50” will pay $5,000 to win and $300 to start the 50-lap feature. Richmond Raceway owner, Bill Lupinos, is looking forward to bringing FASTRAK to the 3/10th mile oval.
“It is a pleasure and an honor to give the Pro Late Model race teams a chance to race with a prestigious series and for an excellent pay out” said Lupinos.
With FASTRAK coming into a new area, the race will have an adjusted tire rule. Hoosier FT200, FT400, Crate Spec 21, Crate Spec 55, HTS 1350, and HTS 1600. No steer tires, and grooving/siping will be allowed on all tires.
“I can’t express how excited I am to bring the FASTRAK Racing Series home to Kentucky,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “We gained a lot of momentum this year in Kentucky and this will help carry that momentum into 2019 and beyond!”
Richmond Raceway will hold an open practice on Friday, September 28th for any teams wishing to practice the night before. Area drivers will have their chance to earn a guaranteed starting spot in the 1st Annual “(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Yankees 50” by winning Richmond’s $1,200 to win Pro Late Model Special on September 1st.
