Ok guys, with the Tropical storm moving in and this weather not being of the thunderstorm variety, looking into your crystal balls, what date do you think the World 100 would be rescheduled for.Take into consideration other Series schedules and Eldora schedule. This would be very helpful for future plans. All opinions are welcomed.

Weather not looking good at all. Doubtful they get any racing in the next 3 days.

Everybody just relax a bit. If they got the Dream in, they'll get this in. Thursday and Friday do not look like washouts, and Saturday evening doesn't look horrible. I'm sure they could move everything up to beat the heavy rain late Saturday night.

This is a little different then the weather at the dream this weather is being created due to the hurricane Gordon and darke county is in the area to receive 4 to 6 inches of rain

GFS model gives us until midnight or so Saturday night before the heavy rain moves in. NAM model looks good too.

I usually don’t worry bout weather but it’s looking bleak enough to make me more than likely not make the long trip.

I don't see how the tropical storm remnants would affect it. The track it still had kept it more north through southern Wisconsin/Chicago area then across MI.

Indy local channels have it stalling out over the I-70 corridor and 2-6 inches of rain from 6pm Saturday thru Sunday

Think they would reschedule for another weekend late in the year or race Monday? We'll be there in a few hours regardless & ask someone official!

Appreciate anyone over there updating what the officials are saying. We will be there at some point regardless, just don't want to take the little ones over in the camper if all they can do is watch DVD's all weekend.

These are some of the latest dates I've seen on the DoD history. Not sure if they were actually scheduled that late or if they were a makeup date. Most generally it's been the first couple weekends in September. But back in the early 70's it was the first weekend of Oct. So those could be a starting point.

My dad said he went back like 3-4 weekends in a row back in the day before they got it in. But that was before touring series and seemingly a crown jewel every weekend so they could get away with it.

At the Dream this year a person I talked with mentioned a year where he made multiple trips for the world due to rainout. I don’t remember what year it was. Suffice to say they will do everything they can to get it in. I didn’t give them much of a chance in June and they got it all done by Saturday night. If u are there map when u can cause u might have some late nights coming up

Lernerville got the Firecracker in with a very similar forecast that spelled out nothing but doom and gloom, and got it in on the scheduled days. I don't see any reason why Eldora couldn't pull it off if given similar breaks in the rain. Have some faith ya'll.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's there were a couple weekend washouts and the event was pushed back a full week. However, I did read somewhere last week under the rain date policy for the World that the rain date is considered the "Next Clear Day". I guess that could be Monday or Tuesday.

I can tell you what year it was. 1990. Multiple trips and then I wind up not being about to see it when it ran in mid Oct. The thing was that the second trip everything was looking OK and then after the second heat, rain washed everything out. 1990 was a horrible year for dirt car races too boot
