Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series $4,000 to win Fall Fest 40 at Lake Cumberland Speedway Friday September 14
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY – September 8, 2018 – In an event just added to the series schedule, the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will sanction the Fall Fest 40 at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Friday September 14, with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series competing for $4,000 to win.
Lake Cumberland Speedway will host the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com on Friday September 14 for the Fall Fest 40 event, with the Iron-Man Late Model Series drivers racing for $4,000 to win and $300 to start in the 40-lap main event. Other divisions in action at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Friday September 14 at the Fall Fest 40 event will include the track’s Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win, Rear Wheel Drive Four Cylinders racing for $400 to win, and Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win. Activities at Lake Cumberland Speedway for the Fall Fest 40 event on Friday September 14 will see the pit area and general admission areas open at 3:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. Ticket prices at Lake Cumberland Speedway for the Fall Fest 40 on Friday September 14 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $40.
The Super Late Model portion of the program will be sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series. The entry fee will be $75, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Super Late Model tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 and American Racer 48 and 56 on all four corners of the race cars. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. There will also be a $100 bonus for the highest finishing driver using a GM604 crate engine in the feature event. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $50 tow money.
