Anything is possible, but a lot of teams have stepped up their game this year. Don't count out Birky in the Dirty 30.

He sure can Mikey has been good in anything he has driven this year but birky knows the track probably better than anyone.

I would have to think Marlar is one of the favorites going into Knoxville. The great thing about Knoxville is you could realistically list atleast 10 different drivers that wouldn't surprise you if they won. Before Marlar won last year, Knoxville went 11 straight years without a repeat winner.

Why would Birkhofer know the track better than anyone?

Overton was there once with Baird. I think he was the last car to pull in and then went out to win his heat. I think he broke in the 100 lapper.

I am no stranger to Knoxville IA, but this will be my first Late Model race there. I agree with Penn, I think the kid is really due for a win there on saturday night

This is the type of track that plays into Pierce's style like I-80. He has run well here in the past. I could see a big win for him if his motor can hold together.

Heard he hurt a motor again tonight. I would not let him drive anymore. He needs to figure out that you cannot red light them motors. I would not be surprised if he gets let go after the season, what a broken record!

how often did motors let go in the leaf spring days? I'm only asking because I dont know and I was just wondeeing with the way these cars hop at times if jumping R's like that could be a major culprit?

It doesn’t matter what you are driving, Knoxville is hard on motors.

If Bobby had Cornett Motors in the car that were plumbed by Jack in his shop and Jacks instructions were followed to a T and the motors were breaking maybe I would blame Bobby ... Do you think Tyler erb is easy on motors ??? Or snort ??? Motors that are 50k+ should be able to live the 1000 laps between rebuilds period. Unless the people aren’t using their weather station or don’t use good oil , or don’t stay on top of valves every race or don’t check Obergs , or over tighten dry sump belts and have them break at wide open throttle then try running the motor with a new belt ....

Yeah, if breaking motors is a pattern, it's almost always a maintenance issue of some sort.
