For most of the LCQ for the Bettenhausen Memorial 100 on the Springfield Mile Korey Weyant rode the cushion to the lead from deep in the field only to have his engine explode with just a couple of miles to go in the race. This is one of the most exciting drives we've ever seen even though Korey didn't finish.
It's one thing to ride the cushion at a bull ring, it's a whole other deal to do it on a big ol' mile track driving into #1 and #3 at 150+ mph. He certainly gave it a ride 'till she broke!!
Way to go Korey! Many in the stands will never forget this run!
