Schaeffer’s Oil SNBS Back in Action at North Georgia Speedway Saturday September 15
BRASSTOWN, N.C. – September 9, 2018 – The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV is set to return to action on Saturday September 15 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA, with the winner of the event taking home $10,000 for their efforts.
The Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will compete at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA on Saturday September 15 for only the second time in tour history, with the feature contest paying $10,000 to win and $500 to start. Other divisions in action at North Georgia Speedway on Saturday September 15 will be the track’s Steelhead/CM604 Crates division, along with Sportsman, A-Hobby, Pony, and Beginners divisions. Activities at North Georgia Speedway for the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series event on Saturday September 15 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by hot laps, time trials, and green flag racing. Ticket prices at North Georgia Speedway on Saturday September 15 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, children ages 6 to 11 will be $10, with children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $40 for adults, children ages 6 to 11 will be $20, and children ages 5 and under are free. Spectator fence/trackside parking is $25.
In addition, as a way to expedite grandstand area entry gate wait time and to keep traffic flowing smoothly, the track will allow spectators to reserve trackside fence parking spots the Schaeffer’s Southern National Bonus Series event on September 15. To guarantee a reserved trackside parking spot for the event, please send a private message with your name and contact information and a member of the North Georgia Speedway will contact interested parties back as soon as possible.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the program and the tire rule for the event is as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 and American Racer 48 and 56. The entry fee for Super Late Models will be $100, plus transponder rental fee for timing/scoring purposes, and random tire samples will be taken. In addition, there will be $200 bonus paid by series to the highest finishing driver that uses a CT525 engine package and a $200 bonus will also be paid to the highest finishing driver using an All Steel/SPEC engine package.
Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN would win the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series event at North Georgia Speedway in 2017, taking the checkered flag ahead of Dale McDowell, Brandon Overton, Michael Page, and Donald McIntosh. David Payne of Murphy, NC currently leads the Southern Nationals Bonus Series points standings by forty-four points over Chicky Barton, followed by Aaron Ridley, Joey Standridge, and Casey Roberts.
