Track was choppy, especially turns 1 & 2 outside of the bottom grove. Caution fest all night. Lots left on the hook. Over 4 hours to run 4 classes and the longest race was 30 laps. They saved the Late Models for last too.

Just too long for me. Was that the modified that had 3 cautions and three cars towed off before they completed 2 laps? 4 hours for 4 classes and it wasn't even intermissions. Just cautions.

Modifieds and Sprints were 20 lap features. I missed the beginning of street stocks. Don't know if they were 15 or 20 laps. Only 1 race more than 20 laps and 4 hours?

Lately just LaSalle, Kankakee, and Wilmot. Stopped going to Kankakee weekly a few years ago when I got tired of getting home at 1am or so every week. They seem to be doing much better now. I just think the track was rough and all the cautions got boring Saturday night. Hard to imagine first time fans being impressed and wanting to go back. More like people were leaving early. Especially those with kids. Looked like a flagman was frustrated throwing the yellow yet again also. I'd imagine the drivers get tired of it too? Maybe it's me? Getting old and grouchy? haha

The Wilmot modifieds are brutal. Have been that way for many years. I went there every week for many years a long time ago. Now I average once per year.

I wouldn't let that stop you from going to LaSalle. It may run long, but it will be a great show.

There was a lot of cautions at wilmot but i think the track did a good job of keeping the action moving. Was my first time there so can’t compare it to anything but it was a bit rough in 1 and 2 but facilities seemed decent, grandstands were nice. Cautions happen, especially when it’s mainly locals racing. When i go to a small track for a weekly show I’m not really expecting to see great racing, in just there to support a local track and have fun just being at a racetrack. Any good racing is just a bonus.

On the sprint car side, Kerry Madsen indicated on twitter that he will be there. MOWA shows are usually in the mid 20's for car count I think. They were 30 plus at both Jacksonville & Spoon River this past weekend. I went to this race last year & there were around 25 late models I think.

That's news to me as Tony hasn't indicated to me that it was co-Sanctioned. Good deal. Co-Sanctioned sprint shows there at LaSalle have been supported pretty well over the years. I could see 35 or so sprints there. Should be a good show for those who are there.

Seemed like no one was still around, so I put the phone down and then had 85 mile drive. Winged Sprints could run anywhere. The top guys were running mostly high. Non winged Sprints and Late Models were low grove only. And the wingless ran before the winged. By half way through the Late model feature, they were almost all equal. Had to get under an already low running lap car to pass. Sprints were entertaining. Smoke moved up, as did 64 and 17. And of course the leaders flying around the top side, those cars are just beasts. Thought Smoke might have something at the end, but he had a bad restart after a late caution with 4 laps left, and didn't challenge.

This video from Brownstown, I didn't watch the whole thing. Downloaded it and skipped to the end to see Bobby pass JD. Exactly how LaSalle was with the dry grove on the bottom. Only I think the bottom grove was even wider at LaSalle, and no front runners and most of the lap traffic, were trying to run the same grove as Bobby did at Brownstown. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10156580656531212&id=591851211 The exception of course was the IRA MOWA OUTLAWS. They were all over the track. Front runners were running high. My impression was the winged boys carry too much momentum into the turns to hug that dry spot and outrun the high side Guys.

One of the worst late model races I've ever seen there. Non wings were also terrible, winged 410s were one groove as well but that was at least up high so they were going fast. Oh well, huge crowd

Track was junk in hot laps. Told the guy next to me they could throw the green at the starting line and the checker at the entrance to turn one for the non winged sprints and the outcome would have been the same.
Winged sprints were ok at best. Stewart moved up to block and ran a car into the wall at the entrance to 3.
Late models were lousy. Nearly all on the bottom looking for moisture. Feger tried the top in 1&2 but couldn't make up any ground. Car counts and quality were very good. Good size crowd of disappointed fans. I'm sure we all expected better track prep.
